Re-located in one of the old Esso service station buildings at 19 E. Washington Street, in Middleburg, VA, Books & Crannies is a showcase for books that are carefully selected by its staff.

       Among Washington Post and New York Times best sellers, readers will find a stellar collection of local authors’ books, biographies, non-fiction, literary and popular fiction, books for children of all ages, and a cookbook collection that will delight the finest chef.

             The shop's street level floor is where you will find our collection of fiction, non-fiction, current affairs, biographies, mysteries, poetry and short stories, gift and reference books. Books of regional interest and books on topics such as horses, gardening, home decor, history and science are also found on this level.

      Young children will delight in pointing out their favorite storybook characters in the mural on the wall beside the staircase that leads to the second level of the shop.  Upstairs is devoted books for children of all ages, as well as our collection of classics and travel books.

      Just in time for the holidays are the latest gift, gardening and home decor books from some of the world's leading publishers.  Holiday- themed books, many of which have classic illustrations, are arriving daily.
